Hi guys,

We’re launching a new concept in dog placement and adoption.  It is called Paw In Hand Match Inc, a 501c3 non-profit.  Our website will be up and running by the spring of 2010.  www.pawinhandmatch.com will be available in English and Spanish, and will contain the pet surrender and pet adoption questionnaires.   Once the questionnaires are completed, the computer program designed specifically for Paw In Hand Match will match a donor application with adoption applications.  Multiple requests for the dog being surrendered are possible.  Phone calls to the donor and adopters will follow to determine which home is the right match for the dog and the household.  A visit to the new home may follow, after which, a dog may be granted to the adopter. This new standard of pet placement will save thousands of dog’s lives. The dog will go from one home directly to the other, never having been placed in shelters, animal services, the humane society, or God forbid, just abandoned in the street.  Some or all of these options many times result in the dog being put down.  Currently, shelters are full to capacity and the waiting period for euthanasia in many facilities is estimated to be 7 days.  We will also be able to monitor whether the pet has been spayed or neutered, and if not, complete that process.  This is a new and unique method of pet placement nationwide and will revolutionize the current system which many times ends up jailing and killing innocent animals that would make wonderful companions.

We will be holding our first major fund-raising event on May 12^th, 2010 at the Enzian movie theater in Winter Park Florida located at 1300 S. Orlando Ave (Hwy 17-92). The party starts at 4:30PM and goes until 8:30PM indoors, then continues on the beautiful outside patio/garden area until 10 PM.  Enzian is a wonderful, single screen, privately owned movie theater that shows independent, foreign films and some mainstream movies as well.  The theme for this event is,  “Dancing for Dogs”. The atmosphere and dress code will be relaxed and casual.  There will be free beer on hand courtesy of Wayne Densch Orlando. Also, raffle items, free food of course, great music to dance to, vendors with free gifts and discounts on goods and services, and a terrific martini bar supplied by our good friends at Van Gogh Vodka.  Tickets are 500.00/ table of four.  250.00/ table of two.  All single tickets are 25.00 and include 2 free drinks.  Call Donna or Paul for tickets and reservations.  Tables are limited, so please book in advance.  It would be helpful if you would send out an e-mail blast to your contact list with this information. It’s going to be a party so the more the merrier.
